亀戸アートセンター（KAC）では、ZONSHANG、ヌキ本、Dog Health Club、よシまるシン、江口茉里、田所陽向子の6組によるPOP UPイベント「TOTAL TURTLE GOOD DOG POP UP」を開催します。

印刷物や古本、インターネット上の画像、身近な文字や記号などに独自の視点を加え、新たな表現や面白さへとつなげる作家が集まります。会場では、作品をはじめ、ZINE、アパレル、グッズなどを展示・販売します。

また、よシまるシン本人の作品に加え、講師を務める女子美術大学短期大学部の学生、江口茉里と田所陽向子が制作した「謎の図」も会期を通して展示します。

会期中には、「謎の図」の解説イベントも開催。スペシャルゲストにアーティストの水野健一郎を迎え、当日は4名がそれぞれの作品について、図の背景にある発想や思考のプロセスについて雑談します。

Kameido Art Center (KAC) is pleased to present “TOTAL TURTLE GOOD DOG POP UP,” featuring six participating artists and groups: ZONSHANG, NUKIBON, Dog Health Club, Yoshimaru Shin, Mari Eguchi, and Hinako Tadokoro.

Bringing their own unique perspectives to printed matter, secondhand books, images found online, and familiar letters and symbols, the participants transform these everyday materials into new forms of expression and unexpected sources of interest. The exhibition will feature a range of works, ZINEs, apparel, and other goods available for viewing and purchase.

Alongside works by Yoshimaru Shin, the exhibition will also feature “NAZONOZU” created by Mari Eguchi and Hinako Tadokoro, students at Joshibi University of Art and Design Junior College, where Yoshimaru teaches. These works will remain on view throughout the exhibition period.

A special talk exploring the “Mysterious Diagrams” will also be held during the event. Artist Kenichiro Mizuno will join as a special guest, and the four participants will each discuss their work in a casual conversation, sharing the ideas and thought processes behind their diagrams.

ZONSHANG

ZONSHANGは、自らが生まれ育つ中で摂取してきた様々な力ルチャーを、サンプリングとプリンティングによって定着・複製し、「何か」の海賊版を産み出すユニットです。複製が複製を呼び続けるために、シルクスクリーンという手法に執着した制作を行っています。

ヌキ本

古本の表紙のタイトルやイラストなどのアウトラインをなぞりながら、その本まるごと1冊手作業で切りヌイた「ヌキ本」を制作。近年はヌキ本に関連した大判のシルクスクリーンプリント作品やミニヌキ本シリーズも展開している。
